Maitland Smith and LaBarge
We are very excited to announce that you can now purchase LaBarge and Maitland Smith accessories at Chicago Design Team! If we do well with the Maitland Smith accessories, we hope to add the furniture later this year. If you like these collections, please place your orders here at CDT--help us qualify for the furniture. Meanwhile, if you have a client that can use Maitland Smith Furniture, let us know. We will do our best to get it for you.
Both LaBarge and Maitland Smith are wonderful collections, and have been around for years. They have nice catalogs, user friendly price lists and a great website. They now feature a group of their 350 best sellers that can be custom finished. Best of all the bulk of the collection is now IN STOCK in the USA!

We ran across a product this past week that might be of use to some of you-- Blue Vision Television Mirrors. We have seen these in models recently. The TV magically appears in any mirror. It can be in your bathroom, or in a carved frame over a fireplace. When the TV is off, you only see the mirror. We will not be selling this at CDT...but we do have info available for you to copy if you need it. It will be in our resource binder.

CDT News
Our internet provider will no longer allow us to do mass e-mails, so we have limped along while finding a better way to communicate with you. Luckily this happened over the holidays!
Don't forget, Nancy Edgington from Taylor King will be here at 1:00 pm this Wednesday, Jan 21. She is bringing large samples of their new collection, as well as photos of their new frames. Lots of really different looks. As usual, we will have champagne and other goodies, so be sure and stop in. RSVP if at all possible.
Hunter Douglas is hosting their annual "Premiers" events on April 14 in Naperville, and April 15 in Wheeling. This is a great opportunity to increase your knowledge of hard window coverings, and is worth attending regardless of your level of knowledge and experience.
CDT will be having beginner and intermediate/advanced Hunter Douglas trainings at the showroom coming up shortly. Details, locations, times etc. on both events will follow shortly, so watch your e-mails.
Hunter Douglas is offering rebates on a variety of products, up to $300 per window from February 1- April 30. We will provide the details in your next e-mail.
Thomas Lawrence is having a President's Day sale. Take an additional 20% off any order between now and February 28!!!
Congratulations to our 2008 TOP TEN!!! These ladies edged out a larger than ever group of contenders, for the highest sales totals we have ever seen! This just goes to show that even a weak economy is no match for a determined woman!

A new Hunter Douglas cost factor (multiplier) sheet is now available to download from our website, www.chicagodesignteam.com. While you're there, check out the "Downloads" section. You can now find many of your often used forms to download, including Hunter Douglas and Fashion Tech order forms.

There are many discontinued fabrics available. Please contact Char in the Memo Room to arrange pick up. Also, if you know of any organizations that would like to pick them up, please let Char know.
Just a reminder to help you get your memos quickly and efficiently, please fill out your memo order form completely and print clearly. This helps everyone in the memo room get your order filled and make sure all the outs are sent quickly.
This is also a good time to look at Minutes Matter, a computer design program offered here, at CDT. Please ask about it on your next trip in the showroom. You will be amazed at how easy it is to do space planning and designing elevations, including window treatments. It makes your presentations look so professional!
Because of an increase in inclement weather this season, if you are planning a trip to CDT and there is a storm expected, please call ahead of time to make sure we are not closing.
