CDT News Week of April 27 - May 1

Good News!
It's just astonishing that it's already May! Hopefully the weather will get the memo and start acting like May instead of March. We are very happy to report that both sales and traffic seem to be on the increase. We hope that all of you will be as busy as ever soon, and that the worst of this slowdown is over.

Accessories are flying out the door here at CDT! We just received a huge shipment of accessories, greenery, orchids and trees. More and more designers are taking them out by the carload, for instant profit and client gratification.
If you would like help with accessorizing, we would love to help you increase your sales in this EASY AND LUCRATIVE area.

On June 16th from 10:30 to 1:00 we will be hosting a presentation featuring Duralee Fine Furniture. Agent showroom manager and our favorite Duralee rep Walt Kozy will be here to point out the "Back to Basics" approach to selling Duralee and Owner's select. They will focus on the most affordable, easy to sell items, which is important in today's market. The last part of the morning will feature Camille and myself, doing a refresher on "How to Sell Furniture When Your Client Can't Sit on It." Since this applies to MOST upholstery sales, it's a good program to attend. Hope to see you there!

If you happen to have a Hunter Douglas ProvenanceWoods Book checked out, please call us. We seem to have lost it, or lost it's loan out paper work. It's a brownish book with a number 02 on the spine. If you still need it, that's OK, but we need to know if its really missing, or just temporarily AWOL!
Hunter Douglas Updates

Thanks to all of you who attended our Hunter Douglas training sessions this spring. We know this time investment will help you in your business.

There are new sample books, including new Duette, Cadence and Vignette, which includes the great new Tiered Vignette, with a tiny fabric covered headrail that looks just like a "real" roman shade.

The new price book goes into effect Tuesday, May 5, so if you are working on an order there may be new options available...they have expanded the available widths, lift systems etc. Prices will remain the same---HOORAY!!!
