Are we enjoying winter yet? Boy, we sure didn't get any time to ease our way into it this year did we? Hope you are staying warm.

A couple of little tidbits this week:

We have an off whiteish/beige thigh length raincoat in our closet. It has white top stitching and the label has been cut out. It has been here for a while. Does it belong to you?

Effective immediately, there are new prices in effect for Charleston Forge. Also a beautiful new catalog. If you have a job in the works, please get it re-quoted.

Clients are getting sneakier and more and more savvy. We recently have had several incidents where people have tried to bypass their designer while using the Arlington Design Center. In order to protect you, the designer, we have tightened up our policies a bit. PLEASE CALL IN ADVANCE IF YOU ARE SENDING IN A CLIENT. We are happy to point them in the right direction, and assist them when time and traffic permit. However, please remember that we do not have the staff to really advise them. Plus, we do not want to say something that might contradict or undermine what you have done. If they come in without advance warning, we will try to call you to see how you want them to be handled. If we are unable to reach you, we will help them make a loan out list, but we will NOT GIVE THEM MEMOS OR OTHER SAMPLES UNTIL WE HAVE YOUR PERMISSION. We hope you understand the reasons behind this, and will explain the situation to your client. You MUST call EACH TIME they come in! Again, this is for your protection.
Bolier and Company

The International Furnishings and Design Association has a very active chapter that meets regularly at places of interest to suburban designers.
