CDT News Week of May 4-8
Remember the huge shipment of accessories we got last week? It's almost gone!
While we are excited, this means we had to scramble to get even more new things. So now, again, new accessories will be here in 2-3 weeks. We love accessories! When Camille and I first opened CDT 15 years ago, we envisioned a thriving accessory business. It took a long time to figure it out, and to get the right combination of vendors, but it looks like we are finally there! Thanks to all of you who buy accessories from CDT! We hope everyone will jump on the bandwagon. We would order new stuff weekly!
On June 16th from 10:30 to 1:00 we will be hosting a presentation featuring Duralee Fine Furniture. Agent showroom manager and our favorite Duralee rep Walt Kozy will be here to point out the "Back to Basics" approach to selling Duralee and Owner's select. They will focus on the most affordable, easy to sell items, which is important in today's market. The last part of the morning will feature Camille and myself, doing a refresher on "How to Sell Furniture When Your Client Can't Sit on It." Since this applies to MOST upholstery sales, it's a good program to attend. Hope to see you there!

Our new Hunter Douglas samples are here and they are beautiful.
The new books include Duette, Cadence and Vignette, which features the great new Tiered Vignette, with a tiny fabric covered headrail that looks just like a "real" roman shade.
The new price book goes into effect Tuesday, May 5, so if you are working on an order there may be new options available...they have expanded the available widths, lift systems etc. We were told that prices will remain the same, which is true in most cases. HOWEVER, they neglected to mention that some fabrics have changed grades, which might affect your price. If you are working on a job, please get it re-quoted just in case.
You may also notice that the DESIGNER SCREEN ROLLER SHADE prices have been reduced. The cost factor/discount sheet has been adjusted accordingly. Again, please double check your numbers.
There is a new rebate promotion on the "ette" products. The rebates run from $20 to $100 per window, but this promotion has NO LIMIT on the quantity. So you can do an entire home and get rebates on every window! Please pick up your rebate form at CDT!

Camille and I are off for our annual Hunter Douglas dealer trip, this time to The Netherlands, Belgium and Normandy France! We leave tomorrow and will be gone till Memorial Day weekend. This means the rest of our team will be holding the fort. They do a wonderful job...we are so blessed to have them to back us up. Please be patient if we seem short handed. We are also very grateful to all of you...our wonderful, loyal customers who make this trip possible. After working together for over 20 years,Camille and I (I understand they call us "Camicki")are like an old married couple--we need this getaway to have fun together with no work!

CDT News Week of April 27 - May 1
Good News!
It's just astonishing that it's already May! Hopefully the weather will get the memo and start acting like May instead of March. We are very happy to report that both sales and traffic seem to be on the increase. We hope that all of you will be as busy as ever soon, and that the worst of this slowdown is over.
Accessories are flying out the door here at CDT! We just received a huge shipment of accessories, greenery, orchids and trees. More and more designers are taking them out by the carload, for instant profit and client gratification.
If you would like help with accessorizing, we would love to help you increase your sales in this EASY AND LUCRATIVE area.

If you happen to have a Hunter Douglas ProvenanceWoods Book checked out, please call us. We seem to have lost it, or lost it's loan out paper work. It's a brownish book with a number 02 on the spine. If you still need it, that's OK, but we need to know if its really missing, or just temporarily AWOL!
