Hope this finds you all well and enjoying the nice fall. Here is a quick business tip that might be of interest. If you sell custom draperies, you must charge sales tax on the FINISHED PRODUCT including labor. You are selling draperies, not cut yardage. Back in the 80's this law changed. If you only charge tax on the yardage you could be liable for tax penalties should you be audited.

The International Furnishings and Design Association has a very active chapter that meets regularly at places of interest to suburban designers.
